The Summer Music Academy Kroměříž
The Summer Music Academy Kroměříž is entering its sixth year this week. International masterclasses will take place from 19 to 25 August for soloists in violin, cello, viola, harpsichord, piano, singing, piano accompaniment and studies for music managers. The Academy also opens chamber music class under the direction of Pavel Nikl and string students can try orchestral playing under the direction of Tomáš.
In 2018, Tomáš initiated the establishment of the international summer music academy in Kroměříž, where he once studied at the primary art school and also at the conservatory and where he now lives with his family. Every year, he invites outstanding classical music performers to collaborate with him as lecturers and pass on their experience to promising young musicians. “Helping talents find their direction and reach their full potential is the main purpose of the Academy,” says Tomáš, artistic director of the academy, which, in addition to exceptional artistic guidance, offers students the opportunity to meet and share their experiences with each other and other guests, public concerts and, for the winners, performances with a philharmonic orchestra. The Summer Music Academy Kroměříž will offer a varied accompanying programme for the general public under the title Musical Kroměříž, a festival of classical music, the programme of which can be found HERE.
