Academy Kroměříž 2025

Between August 14 and 22, Academy Kroměříž takes place, an exceptional event that was born eight years ago thanks to Tomáš and his colleagues and which ideally combines a prestigious international academy for young musicians with a respected music festival.

Tomáš is not only the founder but also the active artistic director of the Academy Kroměříž: “I used to enjoy attending various summer music schools, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. I had the opportunity to be a student for three years and later an assistant to music director and conductor David Zinman at the renowned summer school in Aspen, USA, and I was fascinated by the interconnection between young people, students, experienced professionals, and the public. I come from Kroměříž and I love this city very much, so I wanted to create something similar here. I just needed the right people around me, and we found each other – Jana Kubáčová, the academy’s director, Mr. and Mrs. Křivánek, and Michal Kubáč form the heart of the Academy Kroměříž team, thanks to whom we are able to prepare and run this academy at such a high level every year,” says Tomáš.
