Collegium Colloredo

Collegium Colloredo is the resident ensemble of the respected summer music Academy Kroměříž, which Tomáš founded in 2018 and is its artistic director.

The ensemble’s name refers to an important figure in Kromeriz history – Antonín Theodor, Count Colloredo-Waldsee, who was the first Archbishop of Olomouc and later Cardinal. The ensemble consists of Czech virtuoso performers, brought together by their love of Baroque music, the genius loci of Kroměříž and their admiration for the richness of the famous musical archive of the archbishop’s castle. The core musicians of Collegium Colloredo, of which Tomáš is the artistic director, are complemented by excellent soloists, other continuo players and percussionists for individual projects. In the past, the ensemble has performed with soprano Markéta Klaudová, harpsichordist Monika Woźniak, the Drei Engel ensemble and most recently with the mezzo-soprano Bella Adamova.

The Collegium Colloredo ensemble has successfully performed at renowned music festivals such as Concentus Moraviae, Leoš Janáček IMF, Maraton hudby Brno, and regularly performs at the Academy Kroměříž music festival.
