Happy New Year!
Tomáš will welcome 2026 together with the Prague Symphony Orchestra at the traditional New Year’s Concert in the magnificent Smetana Hall of Prague’s Municipal House. Shortly thereafter, he will fly across the ocean to make his debut at Chicago’s Lyric Opera, where he will conduct Strauss’s Salome. This is not Tomáš’s only opera title this season – he will be delighted to return several times to the Prague National Theater for the beautiful production of Dvořák’s Rusalka, and there are high expectations for the upcoming production of Jean-Philippe Rameau’s Les Indes galantes, produced by the Znojmo Music Festival. Tomáš will also conduct another truly exceptional opera opus in concert: Martinů’s Mariken of Nimègue will be performed at the end of the Prague Symphony Orchestra’s season in Prague and at the Smetana’s Litomyšl Festival. Tomáš will also conduct the Prague Symphony Orchestra in concerts with mezzo-soprano Bella Adamova and at a special open-air concert at Prague’s Vyšehrad.
By the end of this season, Tomáš will also conduct the Tonkünstler Orchestra, the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra, the Slovak Philharmonic, and the Silentium! ensemble.
