For four concerts and three different programmes these days, Tomáš is leading the YOMIURI NIPPON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA in Tokyo. With this famous ensemble he will perform at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre and Suntory Hall, where they will present Mahler’s Titan, Dvořák’s New World Symphony and Janáček’s Taras Bulba, among others. They will be joined by three outstanding soloists: the Songs of a Wayfarer will be offered by Vitaly Yushmanov, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5 will be played by Seiji Okamoto and Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No. 1 will be performed by Viktoria Mullova, with whom Tomáš rendered the same work to great acclaim in Geneva and Brno.
Detailed information about Tomáš’s Tokyo concerts can be found in the calendar.
