Opera event under Tomáš’s baton
The world premiere of Gordon Kampe’s Dogville is a perfect proof of how exciting and alive the “old” opera genre can be in the 21st century: Dogville enraptures the audience with the immediate power of the music and the story from the very first sound and does not let go until the last note, even in the space of almost two hours (without intermission). “For the first time I am standing at the birth of a brand new opera – and it’s a captivating experience,” says Tomas, pictured here with the opera’s author Gordon Kampe.
